Today’s public health challenges—from emerging epidemics and entrenched chronic diseases to the policies that guide them—are complex and rapidly evolving. We need new approaches and public health leaders prepared and trained to enact them. PHI’s National Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health (NLAPH) is an innovative approach to leadership development that brings together teams of leaders from multiple sectors to actively engage their communities in achieving health equity.

Since 2012, NLAPH has proven successful in developing the capacities of leaders from diverse sectors (such as health, housing, education, transportation and law enforcement) to drive action through a unique, evidence-based leadership development program.

NLAPH is now accepting applications for its Year 7 Cohort from teams in the Appalachian and Mid-regions of the United States. Applications are due on Friday January 12, 2018. Learn more and apply
