DESCRIPTION:Medicaid Matters: A Community Summit on Healthcare will be held October 1\, 2024\, at the Kanawha County Public Library\, and will consist of two sessions. \nThe morning session will be open to the community for folks enrolled in\, or have questions about Medicaid  or its waiver programs\, and WV Navigators will be on site to help with any potential Affordable Care Act (ACA) sign-ups or Medicaid eligibility determinations. \nThe afternoon session will consist of policy conversations from panelists composed of health care professionals and advocates focusing on Medicaid and its emerging issues\, as well as substance use disorder and recovery and oral health.

SUMMARY:WVOSAAMP Training (Sleep Apnea)
DESCRIPTION:Sleep\, along with diet and exercise is one of the pillars of health\, yet Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) often goes unrecognized or ineffectively treated in West Virginia. The resulting poor sleep has a broad impact on a variety of health metabolic and cardiopulmonary health. WVOSAAMP was created to train primary care providers in FQHCs and rural community clinics on best practices for screening\, diagnosing\, and treating obstructive sleep apnea. Participants in this partnership will have access to:  \n\nVirtual training on basics of OSA care (offered twice a year)\nSleep expert mentor consultation and case guidance\nQuarterly learning collaborative highlighting OSA
