The Center for Rural Health Development, Inc. is recruiting for the position of Program Manager for the Wild, Wonderful and Healthy West Virginia (WWHWV). The purpose of WWHWV is to create a culture of health in West Virginia’s communities that supports the health and wellbeing of residents, which improves the employability of the communities’ workforces and creates a foundation for small business and entrepreneurial development. To create a culture of health, these communities plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based strategies that focus on policy, systems and environmental changes to reduce health and economic disparities.
The Program Manager would be responsible for providing administrative coordination of various programmatic aspects of WWHWV by working with other partners, including the WV Office of Rural Health, health and public health professionals, policy makers and others who share WWHWV’s vision.
Applicants for the position should have a master’s degree with two years experience or bachelor’s degree with 10 years experience in health, public health, education, business/public administration, community development or related field. The Program Manager will be based at the Center’s offices in Hurricane, WV, but can also work remotely.
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. The Center provides employee benefits comparable to business standards in West Virginia.
