Purpose:

The Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship Program offers scholarships for medical students approaching their final year of medical school. Scholarship awards are made under 7 national and 4 regional categories, including scholarships for students underrepresented in medicine (such as Native Americans/Native Hawaiians/Alaska Natives) and students committed to addressing health equity for underserved populations and economically disadvantaged areas.

Eligibility:

Students must be nominated through their medical school’s dean’s office or the dean’s designate in order to be eligible.

Applicants must be third year students currently enrolled in an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school in the U.S. who are approaching their final year of school and will graduate in May or June 2022. Eligible students must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or have DACA status.

After receiving a nomination from the medical school dean’s office or dean’s designate, applicants should work with the medical school administrator to collect all necessary documents for submission.
