Pre-Ordering Now Open for COVID-19 Vaccines for Children Ages 6 Months-5 Years

Health centers participating in the Health Center COVID-19 Vaccine Program may now pre-order both Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months-4 years and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months-5 years in the Health Partner Order Portal (HPoP). Pre-ordering begins today through 11:59 p.m. your local time on Wednesday, June 8. Submit pre-orders of these products (in HPoP) separately from your existing vaccine ordering needs.

As both products are pending FDA authorization and CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendation, we encourage health centers to place pre-orders for both products at this time. This will ensure availability of either/both vaccines immediately if the appropriate approvals and guidance are issued, and will afford parents the choice of vaccine product if possible.

Pre-ordering will take place in two waves and details are outlined in the table below. Health center sites may order 100 doses of each product per wave.

If your health center has not yet participated in the Health Center COVID-19 Vaccine Program, or wants to renew participation and is not sure how to do that, use the BPHC Contact Form to let us know. Under the COVID-19 section click “View More” to select the “COVID-19 Vaccine Program” option.
