HRSA Funding Development of New Rural Residency Programs
Applications Due January 27. The Health Resources and Services Administration will make 15 awards of up $750,000 each for organizations developing new, sustainable rural residency programs that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The Rural Residency Planning and Development Program provides start-up funding to support the creation of new rural residency programs or rural track programs in family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, general surgery, preventive medicine, or obstetrics and gynecology. Eligible applicants include rural hospitals, graduate medical education consortiums, and tribal organizations. FORHP will hold a technical assistance webinar via Zoom for applicants on Thursday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
