Receive guidance on managing rural patients with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders at Weitzman ECHO Advanced Primary Care, now open for free enrollment! In each ECHO session, multidisciplinary experts share clinical pearls and resources during presentations and case recommendations to enhance participating medical and behavioral health providers’ clinical competence and improve patient care. The Psychiatry and Substance Use Disorder Module: Meets regularly to form a welcoming community of practice via Zoom on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month for one hour. Features brief, expert presentations on high-value topics, including harm reduction, mood disorders, suicidality, medication management, comorbid pain, and polysubstance use. Delivers tailored, responsive feedback while discussing real patient cases submitted by peers, in order to create actionable continuing education driven to improve patient care Meets the eight-hour MATE ACT training requirement from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for training on treating patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.
