The West Virginia Rural Health Association and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine are excited to host a statewide coloring contest to celebrate National Rural Health Day.
This contest is open to all elementary students in WV (including homeschool students). To enter the contest, students based on their grade level, should return the designated sheet to their schools by September 27, 2024. Each student can only submit one sheet and no late submissions will be accepted.
Winners will be honored at the WV Rural Health Conference in November 2024 and the winning artwork will be displayed at the WV State Capitol on Rural Health Day in April 2025.
Teachers from each participating school will assist in coordinating the contest and select one winner from each school. The original artwork of the winners will be color scanned and emailed to WVRHA at [email protected].
All entries are due no later than October 3rd, 2024.
Students from West Virginia University, Marshall University, and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine will vote on the first, second and third place winners. Winners will be notified by the first week of November 2024. The art teachers will then mail the original artwork of winners to WVRHA.
Parents will need to complete the photo/video release (attached) to provide permission to the WVRHA and their partners to display and share the children’s artwork if they are selected as winners.
