HRSA Awards $350 Million in Expanding COVID-19 Vaccination Funding

Last week, HRSA awarded nearly $350 million in fiscal year (FY) 2023 Expanding COVID-19 Vaccination (ECV) funding to 1,471 HRSA-supported health centers. Health centers will use ECV funding to increase COVID-19 vaccinations in their communities, with a specific focus on underserved populations.

Health centers must submit information about planned activities and costs by Sunday, January 8, 2023. Award recipients must add their H8G grants to their HRSA’s Electronic Handbooks (EHBs) portfolio to view and complete the submission in EHBs. Visit the ECV technical assistance (TA) webpage for award submission guidance, resources, and more.

HRSA will host a Q&A session for award recipients that will provide an overview of application submission requirements:

Thursday, December 15
Noon-1:00 p.m. ET
Join the day of the session
If you prefer to join by phone: 833-568-8864
When prompted, enter meeting/webinar ID: 161 663 8082

HRSA will host two ECV office hours where award recipients can ask questions. Given the short timeline, these sessions will be the most efficient way for you to get the answers you need. We will share the recordings, but we strongly encourage your attendance so you can participate live:

HRSA’s Community-Based Workforce for COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach (CBO) Program supports local efforts to build vaccine confidence and bolster COVID-19 vaccinations in underserved communities. CBO award recipients and their local partners have community outreach workers engaging in on-the-ground efforts to help get as many people vaccinated as possible. If your health center wants to partner and collaborate with CBO-funded organizations, download the list of the active CBO award recipients (Excel) for contact and service area information.
