We Want You for the Faculty Loan Repayment Program!
If you are a faculty member at a health professions school, the Faculty Loan Repayment Program (FLRP) could provide you up to $40,000 in loan repayment assistance. In exchange, you commit to two years of full or part-time service as a faculty member at an eligible school.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I do not begin my employment until after the application deadline. Can I still apply?
A. No, you must be employed as a faculty member at an eligible health professions school before the application deadline.
Q. Am I eligible to apply if I am a faculty member who teaches remotely?
A. Yes, you are eligible to apply if teach remotely.
Q. Am I eligible to apply if I am a faculty member at a for-profit health professions school?
A. Yes, but only if you teach in a School of Nursing (Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Register Nurse) or Physician Assistant School.
Q. I was awarded the Faculty Loan Repayment Program award previously and still have qualifying outstanding loans. May I apply again?
A. Yes, you may apply again, but you will need to provide your previous payment history. For more information, please see page 15 of the Application & Program Guidance.
Q. Am I eligible to apply if my school issues faculty contracts for only one year, not two years, as stated in the Faculty Loan Repayment Program Application and Program Guidance?
A. You may be eligible to apply if your institution only offers 1-year contracts. You can provide a letter on official institution letterhead stating your institution’s intention to renew your contract for at least two years, contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations, departmental need, and continuity of funding (to coincide with the contract). For more information, please see page 22 of the Application & Program Guidance.
Q. My school is not aware of this program. How can I give my school more information on the program?
A. Please provide your school/dean/school official the URLs for the Faculty Loan Repayment Program Application page and the Application and Program Guidance.
Q. When should I expect to learn if I will receive an award?
A. We will make all decisions regarding applications no later than September 30, 2023.
