Celebrate World Blood Donor Day and Learn the Importance of Donating Blood

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, but only 3% of eligible Americans donate.

 

On June 14, World Blood Donor Day, join the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) Blood Diseases & Disorders Education Program, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center, and the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB) for a Facebook LIVE event about the importance of donating blood. Blood health experts will discuss the process and how donations are used.
