Most of our focus of late has been on the ever-changing world of COVID vaccination and treatment strategies. As health care providers, we must keep up to date on all vaccination recommendations the ACIP provides and understand why the changes are being made. The Hepatitis B and Pneumococcal vaccine recommendations have not received as much national attention as some other vaccine-related issues, but remain to other necessary for our learning and consideration. This webinar will provide information to to the ACIP recommendations and will cover both hepatitis B and pneumococcal vaccinations.

 

Webinar Objectives: 

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Describe new recommendations regarding universal hepatitis B vaccination recommendations;

2. State pneumococcal vaccination recommendations; and 

3. Understand the rationale for these updates and their implementation in practice.

Featured Presenter:

Dani S. Dolin, PharmD, CDCES

Dr. Dolin currently works as a clinical pharmacist and diabetes care and education specialist with Bridgeport Endocrinology, a WVU Medicine outpatient clinic. Dr. Dolin graduated with her PharmD from West Virginia University in 2003. Her passion for diabetes, immunizations, and teaching began in residency and continues today. She has provided annual immunization update education programs since 2010 and enjoys serving as a resource to vaccine providers.
