The NHLBI Center for Translational Research and Implementation Science will host a two-day virtual workshop, “Advancing the Science of Community-Engaged Health Disparities Research,” on Nov. 14-15, 2022. Researchers, healthcare providers, community partners, and government officials will convene to discuss lessons learned from NIH-funded community-engaged research efforts, such as the Community Engagement Alliance’s efforts against COVID-19 disparities, novel research methods, and the value of community partner relationships.

Join us as we examine the latest developments in community-engaged research and how the application of this research can help reduce health disparities and promote health equity. Session topics include lessons from a pandemic, bidirectional community engagement, health inequities, global health disparities, data science, and excellence in community-engaged research. The event features two keynote presenters who will discuss the current state of community-engaged health disparities research, as well as its history and future.
