Myers Clinic Celebrates New Facility with Grand Opening

 

PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Barbour Community Health Association held a ribbon cutting ceremony December 1 for the grand opening of the brand-new Myers Clinic in Philippi.

 

 

Opening remarks were presented by Eric Ruf, BCHA’s CEO. Additional speakers included BCHA board president Reggie Trefethen, Dr. Cecil Holbert, a Myers Clinic healthcare provider and Dan Poling, a Myers Clinic family descendant. Jim Tallman blessed the new healthcare facility.

 

Joe Manchin III, United States Senator, could not attend the event, but sent his best wishes and warmest regards stating, “For many years, the Myers Clinic has provided excellent care to the community. I am confident that, as a result of this upgrade, this will continue in the days and years ahead.”

 

Several prizes were won during the grand ceremony, including Amanda Piercy who won a $100 Shop n’ Save gift card; Justice Keener who won a $100 Sheetz gift Card; Jackie Malcolm winner of a family game night basket; Jane Esnminger, Karen Weaver and Antionette Herbert each won a one-year membership certificate for the Barbour Wellness Center; Susie Cveckho won a cornhole set; Mitch Ross took home a sled and Nancy Dotson won a girl’s bike and Darla Goff won a boy’s bike.

 

The state-of-art healthcare clinic, located on the former Kines Motor Company property in Philippi, will continue offering existing services and new services, like radiology and Barbour Quick Care for area patients. The facility treats patients of all ages and provides a variety of family healthcare services, including pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, and nutrition counseling.

 

Patients can expect cost-effective services and care with quicker turnaround time due to new in-house processing procedures and a connection to LabCorp which will improve patient laboratory services.

 

Most insurances are accepted, and a sliding fee scale will be available for uninsured individuals or families who need financial assistance through the organization’s Health Access Program.

 

Appointments can still be scheduled with current providers, including Dr. Cecil Hobert, Dr. Pete Palko, Tessa Ricotilli, PA-C, and Taylor Chevalier, PA-C.
