WV Pharmacists Association Collaborative Practice Summit

West Virginia Pharmacists Association (WVPA) is proud to partner with Mountain Health Network (MHN)  to offer a Collaborative Practice Summit! Following the legislative and Board of Pharmacy rule changes surrounding collaborative practice agreements (CPAs) in 2021-2022 MHN/WVPA realized there were lots of questions on how to get your collaborative practice agreement started. In response, we have gathered all the tools you need into a one-day session! The event will be held at the St. Mary’s Conference Center on Sunday September 18th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sessions will include: Two hours covering legislative changes, rules, and regulation updates associated with collaborative practice agreements in West Virginia presented by Krista Capehart PharmD, MS, BCACP, FAPhA, AE-C with the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy. One hour presented Pharmacy Clinical Specialist Samantha Wright PharmD, BCPS covering the knowledge you need to maintain an effective relationship with your providers. And a final hour with Emmeline Paintsil PharmD, MSLD, BCPS Director of Professional Affairs for the Iowa Pharmacists Association (IPA) covering inpatient CPA opportunities and the evidence you need to show the value your CPA agreement provides!

Event registration is FREE to all WVPA Members and Mountain Health Network Pharmacists (St. Mary’s Medical Center, Cabell Huntington Hospital, and Marshall Health). Seating is limited to 70 participants. Those wishing to attend may register at https://wvpharmacy.org/cpsummit/
