Centers of Excellence (COE) – Historically Black Colleges and Universities 

 

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released a new Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to support the national strategy to improve the public’s access to quality, culturally appropriate health care.

The Centers of Excellence (COE) – Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) program aims to support programs in health professions education for under-represented minority students and faculty.

HRSA will award approximately $12 million to up to four grantees over a period of five years.

 

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants include the four (4) Historically Black Colleges and Universities designated by PHS Act section 736(c)(2)(A):

·        Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry

·        Meharry Medical College School of Medicine

·        Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine

·        Xavier University of Louisiana School of Pharmacy
